zoglist was created after hurricane Katrina, the worst disaster to ever hit the United States. our office is located in the heart of New Orleans. we created zoglist out of aggravation from countless ad's we we're looking at at craigslist that got flagged for no valid reason. many of our own ads were flagged and removed by the scammers and the over posters. we knew there had to be a better, faster and more reliable way to do it than CL does it. we went to the drawing board and zoglist was born. as far as we're concerned, the site stays free, we'll keep our day jobs. but if we can be comeptitive and offer change, then it drives us to make zoglist better and more efficient. We do not charge for non commercial ads or postings. as of today's date, we have never charged for anything. only paying to host the site. as our new zoglist hits the main stream, we allow the public users to choose the non profit foundations to support. Currently 100% of our extra money is donated to help the Katrina rebuilding effort with projects going on from Alabama to Louisiana and there is not one paid position at zoglist.com. I work habitat one saturday each month. We suffered horribly during and after the storm hit the gulf coast and we take it day by day. I am tired of rebuilding. it takes the life from you seeing so much devastation and grief. zoglist doesn't make any money and was primarily geared to creating a online community for the Gulf Coast. In response to the thousands of supportive emails detailing their horrible experiences with craigslist, we decided to go national with the zoglist. Although you may think this site looks similar to CL, rest assured it is not and is designed using the highest standards and newest technology. Zoglist has a completely different engine to support our posters and has many many different features that seperate us from them. Please help make the zoglist the premiere online ad community and allow us to be rightfully competitive with all others.
Zoglist was created in part to the many short comings of craigslist. Our primary focus is the better utilization of better technology to protect the ad posters against the scammers and the fraudulent ad's being posted throughout the web. In our efforts to curtail such problematic issues, we designed a more efficient way to legitimately flag an ad through our social administrator network. because I don't know about you but I am sick and tired of getting my posting's flagged!
the unique feature is users participate in the developement, administration and ownership of the site. if we were to make money from the site, it will be because of you.
